To initialize the Onboard SATA RAID Configuration Utility:
1 Turn on the server and the display monitor.
2 During POST, press Ctrl-M on the RAID BIOS prompt.
To load the factory default SATA RAID setting:
1 On the Onboard SATA RAID Configuration Utility, select
Objects under the Management menu, then press Enter.
2 On the Objects menu
, select Adapter.
3 Select the adapter, then press Enter.
The adapter setting appears on the monitor screen.
4 Change the setting of Factory Default
from No to Yes, then press
Enter.
5 Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to reboot the server.
To create a RAID 1 volume:
1 Access the Management menu.
2 On the Management menu
, select Configuration.
3 On the Configuration menu
, select New Configuration, then
Yes.
The devices connected to the controller are listed in the array
selection window.
4 Use the Up and Down arrow keys to select a drive that you want
to add into the array and that is marked as READY.
5 Use the space bar to associate the selected drive with the array.
After the drive is associated to the selected drive, the drive is
marked as ONLINE.
6 After adding two drives into the array, press Enter.
7 Press Enter again to select another array to configure.
8 Use the spacebar to select the array, then press F10 to configure
the logical drive.
9 Select Accept to use the default setting, then press Enter.
The default RAID level for two disk drives is RAID 1.
