1. Do I still need to install the virtualization software since Altos T110 F3 supports Intel VT (Virtualization
Technology)?
ANSWER: Yes, you still need to install VMware ESXi or Windows Server2012 Hyper-V to support virtualization
on Altos T110 F3.
2. Does Altos T110 F3 support Intel VT-i?
ANSWER: No.
Altos T110 F3 supports VT-x technology which is identical to VT-i on Intel Itanium processors.
3. Does Altos T110 F3 support Intel VT-d?
ANSWER: Yes.
However, Altos T110 F3 onboard Gigabit Ethernet does not support SR-IOV.
4. Can Altos T110 F3 support Hyper-V?
ANSWER: Yes, Altos T110 F3 is certified with Windows Server 2008 R2 with Hyper-V.
5. Can Altos T110 F3 support Hyper-V Server 2012?
ANSWER: Yes, Altos T110 F3 is certified with Windows Server 2012 with Hyper-V.
According to Microsoft, there is no specific certification program for Hyper-V Server 2012. For servers are
certified with Windows Server 2012 with Hyper-V, Hyper-V Server 2012 can be supported.
6. Is Intel VT a necessary requirement for Hyper-V?
ANSWER: Yes, Hyper-V requires

7. Which Guest OS can Altos T110 F3 support?
ANSWER: This depends on the support of hypervisor (virtualization software).
For example, VMware ESXi 5 can support Windows NT 4.0 as guest operating system.
But Altos T110 F3 is not tested with Windows NT 4.0. Altos T110 F3 is not certified with Windows NT 4.0,
either.
8. Can I assign different VM (Virtual Machine) to different processors?
ANSWER: This depends on the support of hypervisor (virtualization software).
For example, there is no processor affinity with Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 meaning that individual
CPUs are not assigned to individual virtual machinesthe maximum that you can allocate to any given virtual
machine is 100 percent of one CPU. If you want to allocate the equivalent of one entire CPU to a virtual
